Flu Cases are spiking across the US
Deaths from flu-related conditions are at a high level, and hospitalizations among people over 65 and under 4 years old are increased. So far, 20 children have died from flu. Last year, 128 children died from flu-related complications.
It’s not too late to get a flu shot! Flu vaccines are particularly important for the very young, the very old, pregnant women, and the chronically ill. At the moment, the flu in Delaware is widespread throughout the state, and Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey are getting hit hard. This year’s vaccine contains all of this year’s circulating viruses, so if you haven’t done so already: get your flu shot!
